Welcoming Channel One with their full Sound System to J2 for an upfull 6 hour Roots & Culture, Reggae, Dubwise session.

With Mikey Dread at the controls & Ras Kayleb on the mic alongside various artists passing through.

Playing for the first time in Cambridge with the Sound in 42 years, the session before was June 6th 1980. Mikey attending Bob Marley & The Wailers the next day at Crystal Palace.

For those that need an introduction, Channel One are in their 43rd year with Mikey and his brother Trevor running the sound and playing it throughout the world, bringing roots and culture and the teachings of Rastafari to the masses.

Their sessions are known to uplift, edify, educate, break down barriers, cause reality shocks and spiritual insights.

Their Sound System has a clarity, depth, weight and vibration that is felt nowhere else, playing a strictly conscious mix of roots music, old to new, full of dubplates and upfull steppas.
